Animation Workshops
Stop-frame animation, a technique now famously showcased in the Wallace and Gromit series of short films and movies, uses models or cut-outs to tell stories. The animation is shot one frame at a time. Stop-frame animation is a fantastic activity to develop teamwork, communication and creative skills in learners. Students of all ages and abilities can benefit from these workshops.
Diploma in Digital Applications (DiDA)
Doncaster North City Learning Centre is pleased to support JASP (Joint Agency Support Provision) in providing facilities and expertise to enable pupils to work towards the DIDA qualification. Using Macromedia software such as Dreamweaver, they have been able to design websites and meet the course specifications with ease.
Digital Music in the Classroom
Students following Digital Media courses are able to learn how to create digital music with the ILife software suite. Using Garageband and iTunes, enables them to create, record and perform their own music with drag and drop simplicity.
Digital Photos in the Curriculum - Photoshop CS
Using this professional digital imaging program, original images can be created or photos can be modified using a full assortment of painting, drawing and retouching tools. Students learn to import, organise, edit and share digital photos and can create original posters.
