About Us

Doncaster North City Learning Centre was opened in March 2004 through the Excellence in Cities initiative located on the same site as Don Valley School and Performing Arts College in Scawthorpe.

At Doncaster North CLC we believe that learning is fun and that a new model of learning is needed to prepare our students for an ever changing and demanding future.

Our CLC provides an approachable, friendly and modern environment in which to learn and work with a range of exciting new technologies. These technologies can be used in creative, innovative and inspiring ways to take education further than previously possible.

We work closely with Partner Schools, Adult Learners, Doncaster College and the Community. This also includes work with Businesses and Commerce in Doncaster and the surrounding areas. We are committed to developing, promoting and supporting the effective use of ICT in teaching and learning to raise achievement for all students.

Doncaster North City Learning Centre provides:

• High quality, purpose built, air-conditioned modern accommodation.
• A very high level of ICT resources and facilities provided through a network of Windows PC's & Apple Mac Computers.
• Access to variety of software, hardware and specialist courses not normally available to schools.
• The use of the best, latest teaching and learning aid technology - such as interactive white boards, video editing, video conferencing.
• Training by experienced specialist educators to deliver courses and provide resources and assistance on a diverse range of subjects.
• Access to careers information, education and guidance.
• Use and access to our facilities outside of the normal school working hours
