Outreach at Sandringham Primary School

Dated: 15/12/2008

We were pleased to attend Sandringham Primary school for a 2 day Outreach programme to complete an Animation project with Year 6 students.  A set of Apple Laptops and video cameras were taken to the school, where the ILife suite of software was used to produce an  animated movie.  Sets and characters had already been pre-planned by the students, so our teaching staff could then show the students how to use the video cameras and the importance of camera angles, frames etc. Plasticine animations were made by the students and once the movie footage had been filmed, IMovie software allowed it to be edited, whilst the Garageband programme allowed the students to create voiceovers to place into the movies.  Back at the CLC, we then used IDvd to create DVD's with titles and credits highlighting the students creative abilities- they really got the feel for being movie producers for the day and had a great time bringing their models and stories to life!  Enjoy the photos below which highlight some of the work that was done.
