ICT Diploma Taster Day

36 Year 9 students from 3 Doncaster secondary schools came to the CLC for an ICT Diploma taster day prior to the commencement of the ICT Diploma programme in Doncaster in September 2009. 4 different sessions took place to allow the students to gain a clearer understand of what the Diploma entails and provided an introduction to some of the units they will be studying. The sessions covered the following topics:
1. Configuring Windows XP software
2. Understanding computer hardware
3. Digital Editing using Photoshop
4. Exploring Organisations
Students enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about the Diploma and participated enthusiastically in the various activities. We hope it assists them in their important subject choices next year and we look forward to the start of the Diploma in September 2009.
