Community Media Project

We were delighted to host a group of GCSE Media students from Don Valley School and Performing Arts College, together with 8 local Mum's and toddlers, who met up at the CLC to work collectively on a Creative Media project. The objective was to enhance media skills in the local community. whilst at the same time raising its profile. The Mum's learned new skills using the Apple Macintosh software, Comic Life, and produced some Christmas stories, whilst the Media Studies students took photos of the toddlers which were used in the comic strips. Day Centre Care staff were on hand and assisted in keeping the toddlers engaged in some learning style games whist the Mum's kept busy. A thoroughty enjoyable morning was had by all and we look forward to hosting other events in the future.
